Upcoming MOPS meeting April 7th "The Taste of MOPS"

For our April 7th meeting we will be doing The Taste of MOPS. That means we would like everyone to bring a dish to share. The idea is for everyone to bring a dish of something that is one of your favorites to make for your family. One that they enjoy, and is easy for you too. Please also bring the recipe to put beside the dish. We will all sample each dish and copy recipes to take home. You may want to bring your own recipe cards with you for this. I will bring a pack of index cards too. You can bring a main dish, a side dish, or a dessert, whatever you want to make and share. I know we will all leave with some great new ideas.

So come eat, chat, trade recipes, and have fun with us on April 7th 6:00 p.m. at MOPS... And bring a friend too!

SUCCESS!! That's what our Mom 2 Mom sale was...

...a huge success!! Thank you to all of our sellers for their participation in our sale this year! We had over 56 tables and 23 racks over flowing with all kinds of great items priced to sell!! We opened the doors at 9:00 a.m. to discover that the buyers were in a line that stretched all the way to the back of the building! All of out sellers had a great time and our buyers walked out with tons of spectacular deals. Can't wait to do it all again next year! :O)

Check out some of the pic's that were taken on that day...

These were all taken during set up and when our sellers had their chance to be the first shoppers of the day. Once the door opened there was such a flood of people that it was impossible to get any shots!

We are thankful for such a great turn out this year and hope for the same next year!

Welcome to our Swartz Creek MOPS blog

Swartz Creek MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) would like to welcome you to our new blog site! This is something very new to us. It is also a work in progress! We hope to update this as much as possible.

Our group is made up of Mommy's from all over Genesee County in the great state of Michigan. We meet once a month, usually on the first Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church 7400 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek, Mi. 48473. We like to have fun while lending support and friendship to each other at our meetings. Our Mommy's each take turns bringing in dinner for us and for our children (Moppets). We also provide free child care for our Moppets during our meeting times. We are always looking for new Mommy's to join us.

There is no charge to be a member of this group. We usually have two fundraisers during our year to cover the costs for membership to the MOPS organization and for our supplies, decorations and our annual Christmas party. Our first fundraiser is held in the fall and the second one is held in the spring. We ask our Mommy's to volunteer to help with these two fundraisers to help make them successful! That way we can raise enough money to support us throughout the year.

Not only do our Mommy's range in age their children do too! MOPS Mommy's have children ranging in ages from zero and up. We even have some second time around Mommy's and mentor Mommy's who's children are older that stop by from time to time who lend support to our Mommy's with older children as well as babies and toddlers.

Thanks so much for reading about our group if you would like more information you can post it as a comment and we will answer them for you!
